THEME AND MATERIALS

Taking the cue from Mark 6:5 (“He placed his hands on a few sick people and healed them.”), ‘HELP TO HEAL’ is the theme for this year’s Lenten Campaign of the Penang Diocese.

God is merciful and loving; in His mercy He heals us.

Helping others was something Jesus did on a daily basis. He was constantly approached by people, but He always found time to stop what He was doing to help those in need.

Penang Diocesan Youth Day 2 Mar 07 2012, 9:07 AM

The Penang Diocese Youth Day (PDYD) started in 2008, where it was held at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Ipoh, Perak.  Over 1000 youth from all over the Diocese participated.

In 2009, PDYD was celebrated at parish level, while in 2010, since it was the year of the World Youth Congress it was celebrated at district level. In Nov. 2011, there was a pre-PDYD gathering of youth leaders to plan for the 2012 PDYD 2.
