Rules were relaxed to enable anyone interested in playing to come forward to participate and join in the fun.

The preliminary matches were held during Sunday afternoons in August and the finals were on Merdeka Day itself. The young boys played futsal while the others played handball. Although there were some tough matches in the earlier rounds the players in the finals showed sportsmanship in the spirit of the theme of the games. The organising committee did a wonderful job and the players and supporters had lots of fun.
