The four-day event began with talks on family life followed by Mass. The main topic for the talk was about family life and drug abuse. An officer from the Anti-Dadah agency gave an illuminating insight on how drug abuse can cause a family to break up and the importance of a good family relationship which can prevent a person from getting involved in such activities. February 01, 2009 BALIK PULAU: Jan 11 was the feastday celebration of the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus Parish. A triduum preceded the feastday celebration. The theme for the Mass on the first was ‘Youths’. Fr Fabian Dicom the main celebrant spoke about the current culture of the youths in the modern era and how the youths could still walk in faith while living a modern life. 2 September 2007 issue of The Herald PENANG: Fr Peter Shyu celebrated his sacerdotal Golden Jubilee on Aug 8 in the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Balik Pulau in the presence of Archbishop Murphy Pakiam, Bishop Antony Selvanayagam, Archbishop Emeritus Soter Fernandez, fellow priests and religious.
