1 April 2007 issue of the Herald KUALA KANGSAR: St Patrick’s church golden jubilee celebrations on Mar 17, really was an example of the Do Something! Lenten theme this year. Those who came for the triduum Masses and the cultural show, Rhythm of Arts, had a glimpse of the growth of the parish community since its early years and the history of St Patrick himself. Its priest and administrator, Fr Anthony Pillai gave a running commentary of the history through an audio visual show in church, before the start of the triduum Mass on the feast day itself. 1 April 2007 issue of the Herald KUALA KANGSAR: Francesca Peters is well known for her voice, and hopes to use it more powerfully to reach out to people in need. At the recent Rhythm of Arts show in St Patrick’s church here, she lent her voice for the fundraising event. “We all have busy lives, but we have to balance our days. I am still active in church, and since becoming ambassador for World Vision Malaysia two years ago, I am involved in fundraising work for NGOs and church. “I would like to thank the generous people who have helped. My role now is to raise awareness, both nationally and internationally for WVM, through its child sponsorship programme, in India. Read More |

8 April 2007 issue of the Herald KUALA KANGSAR: The three-day golden jubilee celebrations of St Patrick’s feastday here overflowed to a joyful, multi-racial showcase of talents in a cultural show, Rhythm of Arts on Mar 17. Following a Mass celebrated by Fr Francis Xavier Selvarajoo, together with Bishop Antony Selvanayagam and St Patrick’s administrator, Fr Anthony Pillai, the crowd then walked in procession around the church compound, saying the rosary as men carried the statue of St Patrick, the parish’s patron saint.
