20 February 2011 KANGAR: The challenges of being God’s light to others in a small town where Christians are a minority, is great but can be overcome if each one does his part. Parish priest of Our Lady of Fatima Church Fr Vincent Paul, said this during his homily at Mass on Feb 6. “Jesus asks us to keep our family faithful to God for generations to come. Start within your family, by becoming a light to them. Preserving family life is important, because nowadays, this is going out of date,” he said. “If we want to become the salt of the earth, we must never lose our saltiness, meaning we must not lose the taste of Jesus in our lives. 13 November issue of The Herald KANGAR: A blood donation campaign was held recently in the Church of Our Lady of Fatima. Among the donors was parish administrator, Fr Jude Miranda. There were also those from the Baptist and Methodist churches who joined in the drive. The blood donation was seen as timely as it was held during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadhan where blood is badly needed. Read More |

13 November issue of The Herald KANGAR: The theme Harmony through Reconcilia-tion was very apt for the Feast day celebration of the Church of Our Lady of Fatima. The preached Masses by Administrator Fr Jude Miranda and invited priests Fr Andrew Manikam OFM Cap and Fr Michael Dass brought about much soul searching and food for thought. Fr Miranda dwelt on reconciliation, repentance and commitment. He very succinctly developed the themes and challenged the parishioners to see where they stand in relation to Jesus Christ. Read More |
