KOTA BHARU:  Although the monsoon had arrived in full force on Dec 16, the small community of Our Lady of Fatima of the Holy Rosary, was undaunted by the pouring rain as they gathered for their Annual Family Christmas Part.

Over 71 families totaling 268 participants from the very young children to youths, adults, parents and grandparents were treated to a variety of items.

The party started with a warm up session of some enthusiastic and boisterous singing of favourite Christmas carols led by the MC, Mrs Kesh Paul.

Lively music was provided by our own Fatima Parish Band and the children and youths especially had a lot of fun participating in the games. There were games for all age-groups and participants were encouraged to take part in the games as families.

Kota BharuThe highlight of the party was the Family Fancy Dress Competition (picture) based on various themes chosen by participants themselves. Many original ideas and creativity by the participants were presented. The FMM sisters won approval and applause with their theme on 'Peace'. Their presentation of 3 religious leaders was original and creative, emphasizing that we can all live in peace and harmony. The First Place went to Veronica Lai and Nadine Paul as creative and lively cheerleaders.?

Many thanks to all the members of the organising committee led by Colin Rozario who with his team had put in a tremendous lot of work and effort in making this year?s Family Christmas Party a wonderful time of fellowship for all.
