IPOH: The church of Our Mother of Perpetual Help will hold its parish feastday on Saturday, June 23, with the theme Mary: Model Disciple at 7.00pm.
The annual feastday programme, which has drawn hundreds of people from all over, will start at 9.00 am with a blessing and prayer for the Sick.
This will be followed by the liturgical celebration at 7.00pm, which includes the crowning of the Icon, a candlelight procession and Benediction.
A special “Family Night"”will be held on Sunday, June 24, from 5.30 till 8.00pm. Led by Martin Jalleh and the Youth group from St Ignatius Church, Petaling Jaya, the “Family Night” will include Praise and worship, reflection, sharing and testimony, Benediction, and fellowship.
The Our Mother of Perpetual Help feastday has always drawn the faithful, mainly through its nine-day novena and preached Masses starting from June 15 at 7.45 pm, except on June 16 when Mass is at 7 pm. Preachers from Malaysia and Singapore will celebrate the novena and Masses.
There will also be separate preached Masses in Bahasa Malaysia, Tamil, and Chinese in separate halls.
The preached Masses celebrated by Rev Fr Jude Miranda in Bahasa Malaysia will be at the Rangers Camp, Tambun, on June 20, 21, and 22 at 8 pm, while the preached Masses in Chinese will be celebrated by Rev Fr John Baptist Kang, CDD also on the same dates and time at OMPH grounds.
The preached Masses in Tamil will be held from June 18 till 22, at 8pm at OMPH grounds.
