SITIAWAN: The Church of St Francis de Sales, held the installation of their new Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) members (picture) during the Sunday Mass. In his sermon, parish priest Fr Nelson Joseph said that their main duty is to work with him.

The PPC is also to be the voice of the parishioners. Fr Nelson advised them that any matter regarding church administration should be brought to him directly.

At the end of the Mass the new PPC chairperson DMC Durairaj made a pledge on behalf of the members. In his pledge he urged that parishioners should foster the spirit of teamwork and collaboration so that all could work together in harmony to make the Church of St Francis de Sales, a living witness of Christ\'s love to the community here in Sitiawan.

He added that each organisation in the church contributes to the growth of the church in its own special way. Though serving in different organisations all are working towards a common goal and that is the building of God’s Kingdom here on earth. As St Paul says in 1 Corinthians 12 verses 4-6, “There is a variety of gifts but always the same spirit; there are all sorts of service to be done, but always to the same Lord, working in all sorts of different ways in different people. It is the same God who is working in all of them.” Therefore, he stressed that the members should strive for Unity in Diversity.
