Penang Island Alpha Course

PENANG: July 5 and 6 was the weekend away for the Island level Alpha course. The whole weekend was devoted to the Holy Spirit. The climax for the course, which started in May.

The Alpha course is held every weekly in the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit and is attended by about 50 people.

The highlight was the ‘weekend away’. There was fellowship, genuine sharing of experiences and testimonies of our life as Christians and human beings. The climax was the receiving of the Holy Spirit

This is what some of the participants experienced:

“The Alpha programme has made learning the Catholic faith interesting. It also shows how we can live the faith,” said Thomas Goh.

“Both Daniel and I were excited and overwhelmed after attending the course. It has given us more insight to being a Christian. We experienced the  Holy Spirit touching each and everyone of us and it was awesome. Daniel and I exalt him. We couldn’t ask for more. God is awesome and does wonders,” shared Susie and Daniel

The talks by Nicky Gumble were very interesting, simple and easy to understand. In fact there was never a dull moment from day one.
