KOTA BHARU: The Sunday School children of the Church of our Lady of the Holy Rosary ended the School year with a special Eucharistic celebration.
Children from as young Year 2 right up to Form 5 served as commentators, lectors, altar servers, wardens, bearers of Bread and Wine and love offerings, readers of the intercessory prayers and as organists.?
After the Thanksgiving hymn, the action song presented by the children captivated the congregation.
After Mass, certificates of attendance were presented by our parish priest, Fr Anthony Chong to the 71 students from Kota Bharu and Kem Desa Pahlawan, Kok Lanas.
Following this, the children were treated to a sumptuous pot-luck meal generously provided by parents and fellow parishioners.? After the meal, the tables were cleared for a number of exciting rounds of \'bingo\'.? The children were kept fully engrossed for about 2 hours.? Handsome prizes were awarded after each round.
It was a memorable day not only for the children but for the catechism teachers as well.
