VISION-MISSION OF THE DIOCESE OF PENANG

This Mission Statement is taken from the findings of the Diocesan Pastoral Assembly held on 31 Aug. 2010 (to be adopted for 2011)

 

 

In keeping with the Vision-Mission Statement of PMPC III,
the Penang Diocese Pastoral Assembly (PDPA), 2010,
renews our commitment to the building of BECs
and the fostering of communion as mission.

We re-emphasise the need for the BECs to be aware of and
to understand the social and political realities in our country,
whilst continuing the good work
of renewing the faith of youth and the families.

We take note of the Assembly’s feedback that
our efforts in the diocese in the past five years
have remained more stagnant and declining than progressing.

This Penang Diocese Pastoral Assembly, 2010,
opts as its main priority, the need for further training
and spiritual formation of the faithful and
to ensure the successful implementation of this
and other priorities arrived at the Assembly.
